Palani is a Program Fellow at Toyota Ventures capital firm that invests in early-stage startups from around the world. Prior to that, Palani was the General Manager of Quality at Toyota.

Palani volunteers as Board of Advisor for EMU School of Engineering Technology, Principal Sponsor and Mentor for ToyotAbility Business partnering group at Toyota North America Toyota, He is also the Chair for NSNA Marriage committee and the current Treasurer for Nanben.

Palani and his wife Devi live in Ann Arbor, MI. They have 2 children in college. Karpagam (Ohio State) and Ganesh ( U of Michigan). Apart from teaching and volunteering in STEM fields, Palani enjoys long distance running, ultimate frisbee and hiking in different national parks with his family.
