Ravi Subramanian serves as the Founder and Managing Partner at Hourglass, a seed to pre-Series A venture capital firm primarily focused on investing in technology startups based in the United States. Hourglass specializes in funding companies in the fields of SAAS (Software as a Service), AI-ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Low Code/No-Code, and Marketplaces. Their investment portfolio targets innovative tech companies operating in various sectors, including generative AI, health-tech platforms, augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), high-tech solutions, and cloud computing.

In addition to his current activities, Ravi Subramanian is in the process of raising another fund for supporting startup investments on his upcoming venture capital platform, WhiteHorse.VC. This platform will focus on enabling cross-border startup investments between the US and India.

Ravi also plays significant roles as an investor and board member for companies such as Bob.ai (Board member) and Uptiq.ai (Board Observer). Additionally, he serves as a Judge and CEO Coach at the Alchemist Accelerator, where he offers guidance and coaching to the founders of these exclusive startups.

Furthermore, Ravi Subramanian has diverse experience as an LP in other funds and as the Founder of two startups, namely PocketZee and StoreBook. His sales leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and EMC/Dell involved handling multi-million-dollar enterprise accounts. He was a Principal Architect at NetApp, where he contributed to the redesign of storage solutions for the EDA and service provider industries. Ravi's extensive Silicon Valley network adds depth and breadth to his professional accomplishments.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Ravi, along with his wife, has been volunteers for the Cancer Institute Foundation, US, which raises funds for the Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai.

Ravi hails from Kallupatti and resides in Fremont, CA, with his wife Uma and their two sons, Varun and Kavin.
